Bible verse:
1 Peter 3:10-11
Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, here’s what you do: say nothing evil or hurtful; snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you’re worth.
Letter from God:
Dear Child,
Want a prescription for a good life? I’ve got one, but don’t expect anything supernatural. It’s plain old common sense. Here it is: Don’t run off at the mouth with harmful gossip and mindless chatter. You can hurt people with your words.
When you see your friends headed for trouble, turn around and run the other direction. It’s not worth being part of the crowd if the crowd is getting ready to throw itself off
a cliff. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that reckless, dangerous choices lead to a reckless, dangerous life.
So run away from what’s bad for you, and run after what’s good. You’ll be rewarding yourself with peace and happiness, and your regrets will be few. Trust in Me.
The Author of Common Sense,
God.
