-We read a current events article on elections in Canada. - In pairs, we researched each party and chose ONE to write a campaign speech for. - So far, Katrina and Margarita have share theirs for the Liberal Party. They focused on public transit, more jobs, green energy and the environment. Block C: Geography challenge - We worked on the geography challenge together. - We will have one more full class to work on PART A of this assignment. Next class: Share campaign speeches, ONE more class for Part A and writing reflections and editing Block B: Focus on writing 1. We revisited the penne vs. rotini comparisons. 2. As a class, we wrote a paragraph on this topic...A successful concluding sentence has yet to be seen. Can anyone come up with one?? 3. We took 2 compare/contrast ideas from the previous class and wrote 2 compare/contrast paragraphs. We took our strongest paragraph and with the consultation of Ms. Shin, wrote a good copy.
