1. Lectio Divina on 1 Peter 3:10-11 2. [From the Bible] 10 For the Scriptures say,“If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. 11 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. [from Teen Bible] Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, here’s what you do: say nothing evil or hurtful; snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you’re worth. [Letter from God] Dear Child, Want a prescription for a good life? I’ve got one, but don’t expect anything supernatural. It’s plain old common sense. Here it is: Don’t run off at the mouth with harmful gossip and mindless chatter. You can hurt people with your words. When you see your friends headed for trouble, turn around and run the other direction. It’s not worth being part of the crowd if the crowd is getting ready to throw itself off a cliff. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that reckless, dangerous choices lead to a reckless, dangerous life. So run away from what’s bad for you, and run after what’s good. You’ll be rewarding yourself with peace and happiness, and your regrets will be few. Trust in Me. The Author of Common Sense, God. [Questions]
